Ruaki Akiru-Mehrune is a character in ||\\//\\BLACKEN//\\//||, my unfinished tribute to Bleach, and is based on a slightly more sinister Rukia Kuchiki.
Backstory: When Rukia Kuchiki was attacked by a parasitic memory stealing hollow, upon it's initial defeat some of her memories where released into Heucomundo after it retreated there, these memories eventually formed into a spirit shard who, offering little useful sustenance for hollows was pursued constantly for fun and periodically attacked but spared death and released so that the game could begin again, eventually she was captured by Sweepers, an organisation who's members patrol the various dimensions in search of damaged and stray spirits who can be used to their advantage or sold at auction for profit, she is about to be sold as defective stock to a group of bandits and their hollowfied leader when a Wraith, Tibear Mehrune, taking pity on her, offers The Auctioneer four years use of his spirit sword in exchange for her being handed over to his custody instead, The Auctioneer quickly agrees noting the great potential of a Sweeper wielding such a weapon for that amount of time gaining the ability to manifest a spirit weapon of their own, when he asks her name she can't remember the order in which the letters are meant to be arranged and the last name she says, Ruaki, becomes her first name with Akiru becoming the first part of her sir name and -Mehrune being affixed by the Sweepers as a symbol of ownership, which she retains out of gratitude once she is freed from service moments later by Tibear and chooses to stay with him in the Void dimension which many wraiths use as a base of operations eventually becoming a Demi-Wraith, gaining many of her physical differences from Rukia from directed exposure to his spiritual energy after his somewhat successful attempts to repair her fragmented spirit by sharing some of his own with her, she initially wields a spirit blade dagger similar to the small vestigial blade Tibear generates after his deal with The Auctioneer and then a "soul eater" sword after Tibear better perfects their creation. She is more open but also somewhat more sadistic then Rukia Kuchiki having been almost driven mad by her time in the hollows dimension. The visibility of her bones through parts of her skin is an after effect of her time as a spirit shard when her body was in an incomplete state.
